Richard T. Hartshorne, of the Highlands, died last week at the advanced age of 84 years. He was a second cousin to Benj. T. Hartshorne. His great grandfather was the owner of the entire Highlands tract from Port Monmouth to the mouth of Claypit creek, including Sandy Hook. Mr. Hartshorne himself was an old sea captain. He had made considerable money and leaves a small estate. He leaves two sons. His funeral took place on Monday.

Death notice lists his age as 84 years and 5 months.
