Obits - NJ - Monmouth - 1887 - Wm. Caulley |
Last Wednesday night, Wm. Caulley, of Freehold, was run over and killed by the
midnight freight on the Pennsylvania road. Caulley was seen intoxicated late on
Wednesday night, and was probably making his way home in this condition when
he was struck by the locomotive. The clothing was torn and the body scattered
along the track. Both legs were entirely severed from the trunk, the skull
was crushed, and the brains were strewn along the railroad ties. Caulley
leaves a wife and one child.
