Last Friday James Romain, who lived near Leedsville, died very suddenly of pneumonia. His death was wholly unexpected. About twenty minutes before he expired he rose from his bed and walked about the room. Mr. Romain had been a farmer all his days. He was born in Monmouth county and had always lived near Leedsville. He was nearly 78 years of age. The funeral was held on Sunday, at his late residence, the Rev. Mr. Douglass, of Middletown, conducting the services. The remains were buried in the Episcopal churchyard. Source: Red Bank Register March 2, 1887
