David L. Longstreet, of Seabright, died on Monday night, after an illness of only five days. His death was caused by kidney troubles. Last Wednesday night he attended a meeting of Ocean fire company, of Seabright, when he was in apparent good health. He was taken sick on Thursday morning, and gradually grew worse until Monday, when his death occurred. Mr. Longstreet was elected constable of Ocean township two or three years ago, but he resigned the office. Then he was appointed a special policeman for Seabright by Governor Abbett. He was also keeper of the Jumping Point drawbridge. Mr. Longstreet was a member of several societies, being assistant engineer of the Seabright fire company, a past officer of the Knights of Pythias, and a member of the Old Fellows lodge of Long Branch. His funeral will take place at the Seabright Methodist church at one o'clock to-morrow afternoon.
