David Patterson, an old resident of Freehold, died on Monday night of last week in his 69th year, after an illness of several months. He was for many years a hotel keeper and owned the hotel now occupied by W. W. Cannon. After he retired from the hotel he started a liquor store on South street, and was subsequently succeeded by his son, Hudson Patterson, who still carries on the business. He leaves a valuable estate.
