A colored woman named Caroline de Knight died at her home in Crow Hollow, Red Bank, on Monday, of pneumonia, after an illness of only two days. Mrs de Knight was 25 years of age and was a widow, her husband having died two years ago. The funeral was held at A. M. E. Zion church today, and the remains were taken to the cemetery near Ogden's Corner for interment. Source: Red Bank Register January 19, 1887
