Jacob S. Schanck, a well known farmer of Atlantic township, died on Saturday, December 3d. He was born in Holmdel township in 1807, and was a son of A. Schuyler Schanck. He married Miss Mary A. Hall, daughter of Capt. John Hall, of Matawan, in 1828, and at the time of his death he and his wife had lived together for a period of over 59 years. His widow and four children survive him. His children are Mrs. Garret Quackenbush, of Englishtown; Schuyler Schanck, of Rahway; Nelson J. Schanck, of Middletown; and Mrs. Garret C. Buck, of Freehold.
