Michigan Obituaries - May 27, 2002

Philip Warren Patten of Mattawan, Michigan, died on May 27, 2002. He was born January 24, 1939 in Grand Rapids, Michigan. He was the youngest son of Maurice and Lillian Belle [Daily] Patten of Hastings, MI.

Surviving Phil are two daughters, Pamela [Patten] Olson of Grand Rapids, MI, and Tatyanna Patten of Charlottesville, VA; and one grandson, Conor Olson. He is also survived by two brothers, Gaylord (and Noreen) Patten of Battle Creek, MI, and Maurice (and Mary) Patten (Jr.) of Kalamazoo, MI; two sisters, Lillian [Patten] Teesdale of Sand Lake, MI, and Betty [Patten] (and Robert) Hopkins of Hastings, MI; and many nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death were one daughter, Julie Patten; three brothers, Richard Patten, Donald Patten, and Jack Patten; and one sister, Jesse [Patten] Wall.

At his request, Phil was cremated and a memorial service was held on May 31, 2002, at Valley View Bible Church with Rev. William Theacker officiating. He was interred the same day after the service in Maple Grove Cemetary in Mattawan, MI.
