Rose Skinner, 92 a retired governess, who was a member of St. Albans Episcopal Church in Washington, died of congestive heart failure Jan. 15, 1997 at manor Care of Bethesda.

She was a native of Surrey, England who served in the Women's Air Corps during World War II. She came to the United States in 1953 to work for a family in California and moved to Washington two years later to work for Helen and Burdette Wright. She retired in the late 1960s.

There are no immediate survivors.
