Hon. Isaiah Blood
His funeral was very largely attended special trains having been run from Albany and from
Saratoga for the accommodation of those who desired to attend, and in the procession which was fully
a mile and a quarter long were many of the State officials and other distinguished public men.
The whole village seemed in mourning over his death, the railroad depot, hotels, churches and many
private residences being draped in black. Several distinguished clergymen were present and
assisted in the services, the sermon being delivered by Rev. Geo. W. Clerk, pastor of the Baptist Church,
of which denomination Mr. Blood was a member.
