Accredited to: Ohio. G.O. No.: 32, 18 April 1864. Citation: Served on board
the U.S.S. Carondelet in various actions of that vessel. Carrying out his
duties courageously throughout the actions of the Carondelet, Dorman, although
wounded several times invariably returned to duty and constantly presented
an example of devotion to the flag.
