HERSHEY, IVAN
"Besides, 'tis known he could speak Greek, as naturally as
pigs squeak."-Butler
Joseph Ivan Hershey is one of the smallest students in the
class, but this does not prevent him from being one of the best
soccer players in the school. He was on the class soccer team
during his first three years, and in his Senior year was a member
of the Varity soccer team. During his Freshman year he was
a member of the class track team. He enjoys the novel distinction
of being one of the few students who have attained any
proficiency in Latin. While in High School he was a member
of the Classical Course. After graduation "Inc" expects to attend
Franklin and Marshall College.

HOOVER, WILLIAM
"A proper man as one shall see in a summer's day."
-Dryden
"The warmth of genial courtesy,
The calm of self-reliance."-Whittier
William John Hoover is one of the all-round athletes of the
class. In his Freshman year "Bill" was a member of the Freshman
basketball team and in his Sophomore year was captain of
the class team. As a Junior he was a member of the Varsity
basketball team, and it was from the training he received here
that he was able to be captain of the Varsity in his Senior year.
The success of the basketball team this year is largely due to
his superb playing and the faithful performance of his duties
as captain. In his Senior year he was also a member of the
Varsity football team, class track team, captain of the class
basketball team, member of the Social Committee and prophet
of the Classical Section. He expects to go to Franklin and
Marshall where he is sure to make a name for himself as an
athlete.
