BENTZ, JOSEPH

"A man who blushes is no brute."-Young
Joseph Benedict Bentz came from St. Anthony's Catholic School. "Joe" is a member of the Commercial German Section. He is one of the quietest and most reserved fellows in the class, being very bashful and shy. He is very good at blushing, and when called upon to recite, his face becomes almost the color of his hair. "Joe" is one of the good scholars of the class. He has never taken part in school athletics, but has earned the name of "Battling Bentz" among his friends in recognition of his boxing prowess.

BUOHL, GEORGE

"With words of learned length, and thundering sound."
George Edward Buohl, of Mulberry Street fame, is the Daniel Webster - William Jennings Bryan of the class. This young and unassuming lad is the orator of the class, and would undoubtedly have won first prize in any oratorical contest had he appeared. He is a member of the Commercial German Section and one of the shining lights in German. George has some ability in newspaper reporting, being a cub reporter for our illustrious friend, The News-Journal. We hope to see George a brilliant and polished orator in the future, for as a public speaker he should reflect great credit upon the school in which he obtained his training

DEISLEY, MILTON

"I am one of those gentle ones who will use the devil himself with courtesy."~Shakespeare
Milton Wood Deisley enjoys the distinction of being the only golfer in the class, and though he has not been practicing long, has already attained some proficiency in the art. Besides this, he is a tennis player of no mean ability, and can often be Łound on his private court with his friends -- of both sexes. While he never goes out for school tennis, he would in all probability make a very credible showing if he did so. "Milt" is also a traveller, having been to Atlantic City, New York, Niagara Falls and Philadelphia, as well as to the seashore resorts as far north as Maine.
