Slovak Recipes - Sauerkraut

Sauerkraut

This is the way we make saurkraut.

lb bag of saurkraut rinse once Sautee sliced onion in butter or marg. when starting to turn light brown add kraut. add about 3 tbs sugar. Brown sugar gives it a great taste also, either is good. Add cup of water, and cook about 20 mins or till kraut is tender. I use this for just a plain side dish, with kielbasi, spare ribs, or even hot dogs, we always enjoy it hope you do too.
