Elmira Wilt

Miss Elmira Wilt, daughter of the late Aaron and Mary Scheirer Wilt, died of complications on Thursday afternoon at the home of her sister, Alice Wilt, Lynnport, aged 63 years. She had been ill twelve years.

Miss Wilt was born in North Whitehall township. She is survived by a brother, Oswil S. Wilt, Philadelphia; and a sister Alice Lynnport.

The funeral will be held on Tuesday morning at 9:30 from the residence of her sister in Lynnport, with interment in Greenwood cemetery this city. Rev. A. O. Ebert will officiate.

James S. Schneck

James S. Schneck, well known resident of Egypt, died yesterday morning at 6:15 at the Allentown hospital, aged 74 years, 11 months and 24 days.

Mr. Schneck was born at Scheidys, the son of the late John and Carolina, nee Fry, Schneck. He is survived by a son, W. H. Schneck, Egypt, and the following brothers and sisters, Francis Schneck, Coplay, R. 1; Frank Schneck, Schnecksville; Mrs. Elizabeth Coleman, Bethlehem; Mrs. Jeremiah Keizer, Egypt; Mrs. Frank Sauerwine, Northampton. His wife preceded him in death eleven years ago.

Although he retired several years ago, Mr. Schneck spent the greater part of his life working as a carpenter. He was well known in the upper end of the county and wa affiliated with Washington Camp 168 P. O. S. of A., Egypt, and the Egypt Fire company. He was a member of the Lutheran wing of the Egypt church and served on the church consistory.

The funeral will be held from his late home, Main street, Egypt, on Thursday at 1:30 o'clock. Services will be held in the Egypt church in charge of Rev. E. O. Leopold with interment in the adjoining cemetery.

Mrs. Emma C. Mertz

Mrs. Emma C. Mertz passed away Saturday evening at the home of William Fenstermaker, 963 1/2 Tilghman street, after an illness with complications. She was 82 years, 5 months and 16 days of age.

Mrs. Mertz was twice married, both of her husbands, Lewis Long and Hiram Mertz, preceding her in death. She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Sabina Hilbert and a step-son, Harry Mertz, both of Mertztown, R. 1. For years she was a devout member of Longswamp Reformed church.

The funeral will be held on Thursday afternoon at 2:15 o'clock from the home of her daughter, Mrs. Hilbert, at Mertztown. Interment will be made in Longswamp church cemetery. Services will be in charge of Rev. W. L. Meckstroth, Mertztown.

George S. Mihala

George S., infant son of Steuben and Catherine (nee Berkes) Mihala, of 645 Alaska street, Bethlehem, died Saturday morning at 2 o'clock, aged 26 days. The child was born October 9. There survive the parents and one sister, Catherine.

The funeral will take place on Monday afternoon. Burial will be made in Holy Ghost cemetery.

Horace C. Whitenecht

Horace C. Whitenecht, a respected resident of Seidersville, passed away in St. Luke's hospital Saturday morning of apoplexy, aged 39 years, 3 months and 17 days.

Mr. Whiteknecht was the son of Tobias A. and the late Miranda Whiteknecht. He is survived by his widow, Celia (nee Siegfried); his father, and the follwing children: Kenneth, Walter, Leroy, Beatrice, Grace, Marvin and Eugene, all at home. One brother, Herbert, of Bethlehem, and a sister, Mrs. Charles fahs, of Trenton, N.J., also survive.

The deceased was a member of Friedensville Lutheran church and was employed at the Saucona plant of Bethlehem Steel Co.

The funeral will be held on Wednesday at 1 :30 p. m. at his late residence, Seidersville, with continued services in Friedensville Lutheran church. Interment will be made in the cemetery adjoining.

Hugh James McFadden

Hugh James McFadden, for thrity-three years a first class mechanic at the Bethlehem Steel works and a widely known resident of Bethlehem, died on Saturday night at St. Luke's hospital. He was 58 years old.

Mr. McFadden was born in Mauch Chunk, a son of the late Manus and Grace McFadden. He is survived by his widow, Netty, nee Moore, two sons, Russell and Hugh, and a sister, Mrs. Charles Wolfe, all of Bethlehem.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 8:30 a. m. at his late home, 41 East Raspberry street, Bethlehem. High mass in SS. Simon and Jude Catholic church and interment in St. Michael's cemetery.

Mrs. Marietta Fegely

Mrs. Marietta, nee Warmkessel, widow of Henry Fegely, died yesterday afternoon at 2 o'clock at her home near Mertztown, after an illness with ailments incident to her advanced age. She was 85 years, 7 months and 5 days of age.

Mrs. Fegely was a daughter of the late John and Catherine, nee Fegely, Warmkessel. She was preceded in death six months ago by her husband. Surviving to mourn her passing are a son, David Fegely, at home; two daughters, Emma Fegely, at home, and Mrs. Frank Deirold, Tropton. Sixteen grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild also survive.

The funeral services will be held on Friday morning at 9:30 o'clock from her late home with further services in St. Peter's Lutheran church, Mertztown, of which she was a lifelong member. The services will be in charge of Rev. W. S. Dry, of Kutztown. Interment will be made in the cemetery adjoining the church.

Mrs. Priscilla Schaffer

The funeral of Mrs. Priscilla Schaeffer, who died on Friday at her home, near Leibysville, will be held on Thursday morning at ten o'clock. Brief services will be held at late residence, followed by further services and interment at the Zion church, West Penn.

Robert C. Powell

Robert C., the only child of Henry C. and Lillian, nee Kennedy, Powell, died on Saturday at the Sacred Heart hospital from intestinal trouble, aged six months. The parents survive.

Funeral services will be held at the residence of the parents, 631 1/2 North Eighth street, on Tuesday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock. Rev. S. K. Piercy will officiate. Interment will be made in Hillside cemetery.

Ruth E. Green

Ruth E., infant daughter of Peter S. and Judith (nee Brewer) Green, died of diptheria Saturday morning, at 3 o'clock, at the parents' residence, 1411 High street, Bethlehem, aged 1 year, 2 months and 1 day. The child was born on September 4, 1926. There survive the parents and one sister, Eleanor. The funeral will take place, privately, on Sunday afternoon, with burial in the Holy Saviour cemetery.
