John Trexler

John Trexler, an old and respected citizen of Macungle, died on Saturday evening about 10 o'clock, after an illness of only a few days, aged 86 years. Deceased had been living for the last eight or nine years at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Lincoln Heffner. He was born and raised in Lehigh county, but lived the greater part of his life in Longswamp, where he was well and favorably known. He worked in the mines and hauled ore during the time mining was brisk in that section. About a year and a half ago Mr. Heffner, with whom he was living, moved to Macungle, from whose residence the funeral will be held on Thursday, July 26th at 12 o'clock noon. After short services at the houre by Rev. W. M. Kopenhaver, the funeral cortege will take the 12:47 p.m. train for Mertztown, where services will be held and interment made. He was preceded to death by his wife about five years ago and one son. He is survived by one sister, Mrs. Caroline Reppert, of Niantic, Montgomery county, and the following children: Mrs. Elmira Heffner and Mrs. Emma Wetzel, of Macungle; Mrs. Eliza Miller, of Mertztown; Jonas, of Topton; Johu, Alvin and Henry, of Hancock. Twenty-six grandchildren, twenty-eight great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild survive. Relatives and friends will please note time of funeral.

Mrs. Mary M. Scherer

Mrs. Mary M., widow of Jacob Scherer, died on Sunday at her residence in East Allentown, of consumption, aged 70 years. Her husband died eight years ago. She is survived by the follwing children: Jacob, Moses and Allen, all of East Allentown, and a married daughter in Easton. The funeral will take place on Wednesday morning at 10 o'clock. Interment at Rittersville.

Paul A. Kneller

Paul Augustus, the infant son of Warren W. and Lizzie M. Kneller, of No. 220 North Howard street, died Saturday evening. The funeral will be held at the parents residence to-morrow at 1:30 p.m., and interment made in West End Cemetery. Rev. N. W. Helffrich will officiate.

Roland E. Rice

Roland E., the three-months-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Milton Rice, of Salisbury, died on Saturday. The funeral took place yesterday afternoon, Rev. R. H. Kline officiating. Interment was made in West End Cemetery.
