Edwin C. Costic

Edwin C. Costic died Monday at John F. Kennedy Medical Center in Atlantis, FL. He was 75.
He was born in Matawan and had lived in Keyport before moving to Manalapan nine years ago.
He retired in 1986 after 39 years as a customer-service representative at Jersey Central Power and Light Co. in Union Beach. He also was financial secretary for Local 1303 of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers.
He was a communicant of St Joseph's R.C. Church in Keyport.
He was secretary of local bowling league in Keyport and a member of a local horseshoe team in Lakeworth Fl.
He was an advid hunter, bowler, horseshoe player, billards player and traveler.
He was an Army veteran of World War II.
Surviving are his wife, the former Elizabeth Witowski; two sons Alan of Salem Ore., and Bruce of the Belford section of Middletown, a brother, Joseph of Elberon section of Long Branch, five granddaughters.
A mass will be offered at 9:15 a.m. Monday at St. Joseph's R.C. Church. Entombment will be at St. Joseph's Cemetery, Keyport.
Arrangements are by the Day Funeral Home, 361 Maple Place, Keyport.
