MATAWAN MAN KILLED IN CRASH
Matawan - John Kostak. about 50, of 16 Gaston Ave, was fatally injured last night when he
was struck by a pick-up truck driven by Anthony Devino, 294 Washington Street, Keyport,
according to Matawan Township police.
Police said the accident occurred on Main Street in the Oak Shade section about 9 P.M. as Mr. Kostak
was attempting to cross the street.
Mr..Kostak was taken to the office of Dr. Aaram Captanian by
the Matawan first aid squad. Dr. Captanian pronounced him dead on arrival.
Mr. Devino was released in $1,000.00 Bail on a charge of causing death by auto. Patrolman Charles
Ariano investigated.
Arrangements are in charge of Day Funeral Home, Keyport.
