Chicago, March 7 - Dr. Christian Fenger, one of the most noted surgeons in Chicago died tonight. He had been ill for ten days with a complication of diseases.

Dr. Fenger was born in Copenhagen, Denmark in 1840, was a surgeon in the Franco-German war; lectured in the University of Copenhagen in 1874, and later in Egypt was appointed medical officer of the Knalifa Quarter, Cairo, by the Khedive.

In 1877 he went to Chicago. There he successively lectured in the Rush Medical College, College of Physicians and Surgeons, Chicago Medical College and the Chicago Polyclinic. He was president of the Chicago Medical Society, Vice President of the American Association of Surgeons, and a member of various American, British, and German societies. He was a contributor for twenty years to various medical journals.
