The following is extracted from the Perrysburg Journal published December 16, 1910 and consists of a list of men from Perrysburg, Wood County, Ohio who enlisted for the Civil War.   This list was compiled by Chris Pinkboiner, one of those from the village who enlisted.   We present this information as we copied it from the newspaper and offer no guarantees with respect to its accuracy.   In fact, we were unable to verify two soldiers on page 17 who were listed as earning the Congressional Medal of Honor.   So please use this extraction as you would any newspaper source and verify information through other means.

The following list of names of soldiers who enlisted in the War of the Rebellion, has been compiled by Comrade Chris A. Pinkboiner, of Perrysburg, who served in the 3d Ohio Cavalry.   The list is taken from such records as could be obtained, and from other sources, and in some cases from tho memory of the writer, and is as nearly correct as is possible to make it from the sources of information obtainable.

In reading the list the reader should understand that the figures following the name indicate the age of the soldier at enlistment; the letter ("A," &c.,) means the Company he joined, and the date following, is the date of enlistment.
