Hines, Henry George ~ According to the Veterans Administration of New Jersey, there is a veteran with the last name Hines from Belford buried in the cemetery. He was a U. S. Army Veteran. The only Hines the author found that matched was henry G. Hines born 1838, of Belford. Henry had one son, John Hines, born 1874 ~ buried with no grave marker

(James' middle name is confirmed by his grandson who shares the name and also tells us that
he has confirmed with the NJ Archives that his surname was Hubbs at birth.
Apparently, James' son, Charles Henry Hubbs, used the name Hobbs during that part of the his
life which coincided with Capt. James Hubbs's death and headstone creation. By the time the son, Charles Hubbs, passed away in the
1960s, Charles had reverted back to Hubbs. )
