Sickles, Edward James (son of Fred I. Sickles and Edna Mae Walling) ~~ February 18th, 1943 Was the first casualty from Monmouth County, NJ in WWII. A photo is not included but you can see his headstone right behind the large Sickles stone in the above photo. The engraver seems to have made one ommission in that the stone reads "Edward James" but leaves out his surname, Sickles. If you are a representative of the VA, please do not forget this stone on memorial day!
